Sharon Bonvini Ferreira, a Rhode Island native with roots firmly planted in Bristol and Warren, carries a delightful blend of small-town charm and big-screen expertise. From childhood summers spent assisting at her aunt's Arizona salon, it was clear that hair wasn't just a hobby—it was a calling. With scissors poised and a vision clear, Sharon dove into hair school immediately after high school, setting the stage for a career as vibrant as her personality.
Sharon's professional journey is nothing short of a dazzling highlight reel. As a proud member of IATSE Local 798, she's brought her magic to the sets of major productions, including the upcoming "Madame Web," "A Very Vermont Christmas," and "Dead City Season 2." But her artistry extends beyond the silver screen. She's lent her talents to the theatrical world, crafting stunning looks for the Boston Lyric Opera in productions such as "Bluebeard’s Castle," "Omar," "Madame Butterfly," and many more. Musical theatre lovers will recognize her work in shows like "We Will Rock You," "Dirty Dancing," the first national tour of "Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella," "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," "The Sound of Music," and the pre-Broadway production of "Queen of Versailles."
Licensed since 2009 in hairdressing and cosmetology, and an instructor since 2012, Sharon's dedication to her craft is evident. A seasoned Paul Mitchell instructor in both 2012 and 2024, she's committed to sharing her expertise and passion. Her entrepreneurial spirit, honed by a family of small business owners, fuels her love for the freedom and creativity that comes with being her own boss.
For Sharon, hairstyling is more than a job—it's a sanctuary. "I love the calmness hair brings me," she says. "Whether I’m working on clients or behind the scenes, I feel I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be." When asked to describe her work to a child, she playfully explains, "I get to make magic every day. I play with hair to make people look and feel beautiful!"
Beyond her professional achievements, Sharon is a devoted wife and mother of two. She cherishes her time with family, whether they're jet-setting on vacation or cozied up at home for a series binge.
